African Parks needs a Community Development Officer on a fixed-term contract to build community conservation groups around southern Kafue.

Key details

  • Reports to the Community Development Manager
  • Trains Community Resource Boards and village groups in the Namwala, Nkala, Sichifulo and Mulobezi game management areas on governance and finance
  • Supports land-use planning, sustainable fisheries, school conservation clubs and nature-based businesses
  • Asks for a relevant degree and experience with rural Zambian communities
  • Must be happy to live at a remote field base; motorbike skills help
